BRITISH CROSS MANY OF HINDENBURG OUTPOSTS.
CAPTURE OF BOURLON uncovers cambrai COMPLETELY VALUE AS ROAD AND RAILWAY JUNCTION DESTROYED. * Australian and N.Z. (Received 5.5 p.m.) LONDON. Bept. 28. Latest advices on Friday evening stated that the British attacked between Sauchy-Lestree and Gouzeaucourt. By two o'clock in the afternoon they had captured Beauchamp and Graincourt, and advanced three miles, taking between 6000 and 6000 prisoners and some guns, including a complete battery. We crossed the Hindenburg outpost defences at a number of points. The capture of Bourlon is of the greatest importance, as it is really the bulwark of Cambrai. We took it despite the water defences, the whole of which were crossed. Wo are now in a good position to capture Cambrai, which the enemy is unable to use as a railway and road junction.
