BEEKEEPERS' ASSOCIATION.

. BRANCH AT ROTORUA. A meeting held at Rotorua on Wednesday night decided to form a branch of the National Beekeepers' Association. Mr. J. Banks was elected president, Mr. H. Hardoastle vice-president, and Mr. F. E. Stewart secretary and treasurer. It was decided' to write to Lieutenant-Colonel A. S. Herbert, offering the services of the branch in 'assisting any returned soldiers who wish to take up beekeeping. It was also agreed to write to Mr. T. W. Kirk, director of horticulture, suggesting that the Government apiary instructors should be ; paid salaries .more commensurate with the knowledge and 'experience required.
