♦■—-~— PRAISE FROM AUSTRALIA. Wabm admiration of the work achieved by the women, of New Zealand in connection with the Dominion gift schema is expressed in a letter re* ceived by the Mayoress of Auckland, Mrs. J. H. Gunson, as head of the Auckland Women's Patriotic Association, from Mr. C. A. C. M. Walker, secretary of the Citizens' War Chest Fund, Sydney. Mr. Walker states that two Sydney soldiers who lecentJy returned from Mesopotamia told him that the New Zealand soldier? there were the envied of all the other troops. " Wherever New Zealand soldiers were," he adds. " New Zealand comforts found them, and our Comrai;'sicner in Egypt has been specially aikcJ to report on whether anything more can be done for our Australian boys, seeing that evidently you are able to reach your men no matter how far away they may be. Your work has nothing "praise from all who see it, and, as you can ■ imagine, I see many hundreds of soldiers I throughout the year."
