MOST IMPORTANT SUCCESS GAINED BY SERVIANS.
ENEMY COMPLETELY ROUTED NORTH OF PRILEP. MANY PRISONERS AND ENORMOUS SUPPLIES CAPTURED. Australian and N.Z. and Renter. LONDON, Sept. 28. A Servian communique reports: The Servians on" Tuesday secured a most important success. On the left bank of the Vardar they reached Krivolak and the outskirts of Ishtip, 10 miles further north. In this region we captured a colonel commanding a Bulgarian regiment, also a considerable number of prisoners, four howitzers, three mountain guns, and 100 waggons with teams. The station at Gradsko, eight miles west of Krivolak, which was defended by Germans, was captured with enormous supplies, including mountain guns, mostly of the heavy type. North of Prilep we are pursuing the enemy near Izvor, where he was completely routed and is retreating. We captured a great number of waggons with material. An enemy battery which attempted to come into action was attacked by our.machine-guns, the men being killed and the guns taken. A complete German machine-gun section, which was also captured, complained that they were abandoned intentionally by the Bulgarians. The Germans are continually compelling the Bulgarians to return to the fighting line. At Troyali the enemy set fire to depots, and the flames spread to the hospital, in which over 100 Bulgarian wounded perished. The report that the Bulgarians continue to commit atrocities on our captured soldiers has been confirmed.
