How the purchasing power of the sovereign has been dwindling down is again demonstrated by the price we are now paying for our smokes. Not so long ago we could buy best aromatic brands at Is per 2oi. To-day they charge you Is 3d for lloz, an advance of more than 40 per cent. Fortunately wo are not entirely dependent upon imported brands—the popular New Zealandgrown Gold Poucj and Three Diamond* ara still obtainable at pre-war prices. Quite recently a wonderful improvement in the flavour of these tobaccos has been effected by applying a new toasting process. Smokers are advised to try this new toasted tobacco, its flavour will agreeably surprise them. It is a healthy smoke, 100, because of its small percentage of nicotine. Even those whose nerves or heart would be affected by strong tobaccos from orcr«ea, ran smoke Gold Pouch and Three Diamonds with jmpunity. ' If your throat is sore and irritable take NAZOL. It will give you relief.
