AMERICAN SHIP ATTACKED
CONVERTED GERMAN LINER.
REACHES A FRENCH PORT.

The, transport Mount Vernon, formerly tlie German liner Kronprinzessin Cecilie, was torpedoed on her way home. There were no troops on board, but it is believed a '*ew sailor? were wounded.- The Mount Vernon has reached a French port.
The Kronprinzesi-in Cecilie was formerly a liner of the Norddeutscher Lloyd. She was interned at New York, and when seized by the, American Government was renamed. She is of 39,503 tons.
