MOUNT EDEN BEATS PUKEKOHE.

BY 6 GOALS TO 2. A Pukokoho team played the Mount Eden senior team at Ttemuera on Saturday afternoon, and were defeated after a good garaa by 6 goals to 2Mount Eden resumed the offensive first-, and worked their opponents to the circle, but a long hit relieved the pressure. Tho Pukekoho oentre line then swept down the field. Conroy scaring. After the resultant! bully, a ehort tussle in the Pukekoho circle ended in Paice scoring for Mount Eden. Soon after, Mount Eden attacked again, and although two opportunities were lost— through a knock-on and tho other throngn " sticks " —Grayson scored. A minute later Paice scored another goal, and in a short time Clayton and Grayson added two more goals to Mount Eden's score. Although play was willing neither side attacked in force until halfway through the last spell, when Howard scored again for Pukekohe. Soor after Paice scored the last goal for Mount Eden, The final scores wero;— Mount Eden .6 Pukekoho 2 Jii, B. H. Killip was referee.. JUNIOR MATCHES. Second Grade.— Luke's, 3 goals, da* feated Somervoll, 1; Training College, 11 goals, defeated Mount Eden, 1. Third Grade.—Somervell, 8 goals, defeated Mount Eden, 0; Epiphany. 8, defeated Gordon. 0: Somervell, 8, defeated University, 2; Ponßonby, 6, defeated Mount Eden, 0. Fourth Grade.—North Shore, 1 goal, drew with St. Aidan'e, 1. LADIES' MATCH.' THE BERNECKER CUP. The final match in the Berneoker Cup contest, between Training College and Arav.-a, resulted in a victory for the former by a goals to 8. For the winners, Misses 'Wilson, White, and Speuce scored, and for Mount Eden, Miss Bushell (2). , ■•

LADIES' REPRESENTATIVE TEAM.

At the conclusion of the A and B trill match on Saturday, the following team was selected to visit Gisborne at tho end of thin month Goalkeeper, Miss M. Priestley (Training College); fullbacks, Misses C. M. Latimer (Old A's), E. Price (Training Colloge): halfbacks. Misses H. Bicker (Old A's); E. Goodyoar (Training College)- E. Henderson (Mount Eden). C Dreaver (Training College); forwards. Misses B. Prothorce (Mount Eden). W. E. Lamb 'Training College). M. Lang (Old A's), M. Haszard (Old A's). Two members of the team are still to be selected.

LADIES' 'TOURNAMENT. [BY telegraph.—pbess association.] .. WELLINGTON, Saturday. The ladies' Hockey tournament was continued to-day. Manawatu be>t Poverty Bay by 2 goals to 0. Tho game was . fairly even, but Manawatu had tho best of it. Both goaia were obtained in the second spell, Wellington A were defeated by Canterbury by 1 goal to 0, after an exceptionally strenuous contest.
