Messages from Copenhagen and Vienna state that Baron Stephan Burian, the Austrian Foreign Minister, answering an interviewer, said. that the Headquarters conference discussion ,of the Polish question was not finished. Personally ■he considers the Poles had. the right to select their own king. .' Another report represents Prince Kadziwill, leader of the Polish ■ Government's Council, as stating that Germany had accepted all the Polish demands except the claim to nominate a king. A Munich newspaper states that the failure of the conference's negotiations regarding Poland was due to Count Tisza's opposition, . fearing the creation', of .a Czecho-Slovak State which would weaken Austria. , Tisza favours an absolutely independent Poland, without' territorial concessions from Austria.
