STOCKS AND SHAKES.
The following sales were transacted on the Stock Exchange yesterday:— Bank of New Zealand (fully paid) at £18, Bank of New Zealand (ord.) at £12 15s, Dovonporfc Steam Ferry at 255, and Waihi at 40s 9d and 41s. P. and O. Shipping sellers increased their price to £360, buyers offering £344. This rise is attributed to tho bettor war outlook, which is helping to keep the market firm all round. Buyers of Waihi offered 41s 3d at the last call, seller! asking 425.
