Short loans are quoted at 31 per cent., the same as last week. The rate of discount for three months' bills is 3J per cent., the same as last week.
CONSOLS AND COLONIAL STOCKS. The following are the latest Quotations for colonial inscribed stock, and a comparison with those reported a week ago:—
Butter is still plentiful. Distributions fill all, requirements, with the result that retoilers, who % few months ago gladly accepted whatever quality was sent to them, are now complaining because they are allotted old stored third-grade or pastry butter, while others are receiving splendid New Zealand butter.
