DISCHARGE RECOMMENDED.

The First Auckland Military Service Board continued its sitting yesterday. Tho only help he had was tho son appealed for and. a younger son of 15 years of age. Tho case was adjourned for report. William V. Ashton (Mr. McConnell), Henderson, of the firm of, Ashton and Co., a married man with two children, asked for exemption. One brother, ho j said, had been killed at the front, another was still fighting, and another bad •been called up. Four families were dependent on the business. A sino die adjournment was granted. Edward J. Moir (Mr. A. E. Skelton), Remuera, who had filed an appeal on domestic grounds, was granted leave until j November 7. Emanuel Baume, importer, i Mount Eden, who had previously boon granted extension, sought further 'exemption. Tho appeal was held over for a month. Francis 0. Temm, Grafton, claimed that ho was tho sole support of his mother, and that he had financial obligations which would make it very inconvenient for him to go to camp immediately.
