A MASTERS' JOURNAL.
n iuawiiji tu uvvinuiij. Ox the 12th inst. there will be published in Auckland a monthly Periodica! styled "The New Zealand Masters' and Employers' Journal," which, it is believed, will be the first publication of its kind yet produced in New Zealand. Its main objects will be to promote the interests of masters and employers throughout New Zealand, to protect them against ill-advised and hastily enacted legislation and to ventilate suggestions for remedies 1 of defects in existing laws. It will also i carefully investigate industrial possibilities! in New Zealand, and encourage by pub- , heity the development of commercial ; and industrial enterprises and the ade- ] quate handling of the country's natural resources and hitherto-untouched wealth. The Journal will practically be placed at the disposal of employers for all legitimate and well-advised purposes, and in this respect is expected to fill a want which has now become acutely felt. Other important features are: General politics, progressive suggestions for the national welfare, magistrate's court records, and other matters of interest to business men which future experience may suggest. Altogether the Journal should prove of great valuo to masters and employers throughout New Zealand.
