LONDON MARKETS. ' '' M MONEY AND PRODUCE RATES'^ Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.; (Reed. 5.5 p.m.) LONDON. July 26. The Bank of England returns for the week ended July 26, compared with the returns of last week, are as follows:—

INTEREST AND DISCOUNT. Short loans are quoted at 51 per cent, the same as last week. The rate of discount for three months bills is 5J per cent., lie same as last week. CONSOLS AND COLONIAL STOCKS. The following are the latest quotations for colonial inscribed stock, and a comparison with those reported a week ago;—

CEREALS. Wheat is unchanged. Flour is firm. A quantity of Australian sold it 49s 9d, ox store. Oats, peas, and beans are firm at Into rites. BUTTER AND CHEESE. For butter the position is unchanged. The distribution of cheese amounts to 60 per cent, of tie July requirements. The retail prick of cheese has been raised to la 8d per lb. The reason has not been stated, but it is probably because tho farmers' price for British-mado cheese was raised to Is 8d on August 1. NATIONAL BANK DIVIDEND. "' A dividend at the rate of 6 por cent for the half-year ended March 81 last, and ft bonus of 1 por cent., making a total of 18" per cent, for the past financial year, has" been declared by the directors of the National Bank of New Zealand, and will be paid to shareholders in the Dominion on Wednesday.,
