ATTEMPTED SUICIDE.
A OHA.UGB of attempting to commit suicide by cutting his throat with a tablekr.„j was admitted by Robert R. Frazer in the Police Court before Mr. E. D. Mosley, S.M., on Saturday. Acting-Sub-Inspector McNamara said the de/endant, a wharf-labourer, went home on Friday night, and, after quarrelling with his wife and sister-in-law, seized a table-knife and made a slight mark on his throat. He had been drinking, and might not havo been making a serious attempt to take his life. His wife thought a prohibition order might bo beneficial. Defendant agreed to take out a prohibition order, and was convicted and discharged.
