RED JERSEY APPEAL.

The Citizens' Committee record another excellent response to the above appeal, and one of its most gratifying features is that all sections of the community are participating. j Lists have been freely circulated amongst employees of business firms, and judging by the donations already to hand, the response from this quarter will be a very liberal one. The results from the Red Jersey booklet are also beginning to show, and daily the mail brings ever-increasing promises or direct contributions. In this connection the committee express the hope that all who have not yet done so, will send in their promises or subscriptions without delay, for the intention is to have a short and successful campaign. The Major of Devonport has completed arrangements that will enable Mr. J. M. Barr and himself to make a personal canvass of this district during the course of the next few days. DONATIONS.
