INDUSTRIAL DISPUTE.
AUCKLAND BUTCHERS' DEMANDS. An industrial dispute filed by the Auckland Butchers' Union came before a conciliation council yesterday, Mr. T." Harle Giles, conciliation commissioner, presiding. The assessors for the employers were Messrs. S. Wing, G- F. Lane, and H. A. Coates, with Mr. S. E. Wright m advocate. The assessors for the union were Messrs. F. Blackmore, H. James, and N. Leigh, with Mr. W. E. Sill as advocate. The union's claims were for an i increase in wages and altered conditions, i The council went into committee to con-' aider the claims, and the discussion lasted all day. The council will meet again to. day at 9.30 a.m.
