OHINEMUR!. £247 FROM THREE TONS. Tire old Silverstrcam mine at Maratoto, now known as the Ohinomuri, and owned by the Ohinemuri Gold and Silver Mines, Ltd., is being brought under systematic development. From three tons of selected ore treated at the works of the Sulphide Corporation, Cockle's Creek, Newcastle, bullion valued at £247 15s Id has been recovered. The latest report from the manager of the mine states that last week No. 1 fitope, in the south block, was extended a further 6ft, and is now in 23ft. In the north block No. 4 Btope has been extended 7ft, Good general ore is coming to hand from here. Work with the large rock-drill is being commenced. MINE MANAGERS' REPORTS. Rising Sun: Stoping over the low level on No. 1 reef, in No. 3 block, is being continued. The reef is maintaining its size, about 3ft in width, and carrying highly-payable value The amount of ore Broken during the week was about 35 tons. Golden Belt: In No. 1 level a further tilt has been driven in the hanging-wall. Waiotahi: Btoping on the leader above the surface level is being continued, and good colours of gold have been seen.
