THE ASSOCIATION GAME, NORTH SHORE V. PONSONBY. ■The Auckland Football Association's comDetitions were continued on various, grounds on Saturday. Devonport Presbyterian were defeated by Brotherhood, North Shore beat Ponsonby. and Wild Rose A drew with "Shore took the initiative, but soon Menzies cleared for Ponsonby. and sent out to Latta. who shot. Brown placing the ball in the net. A free kick broueht pay into Ponsonby territory, and from a melee near the goal. Goldwater scored for North Shore. After a spell of give and takcpla: Ponsonby were driven to their twenty-five and Lockwood scored another goal for Shore. Ponfionbly pressed, however, and Latta scored Her eoal after a brilliant rim. Just before time Forbes missed a shot, and Dacre scored the winning .goal for Snore. The final scores were:— North Shore -. i. • • * \ Ponsonby * • Mr. 0. Dell was referee. . DEVONPORT V. BROTHERHOOD. Devonport Presbyterian kicked off, and after Widfield play took the ball into the Brotherhood twenty-five, where they forced a corner. No score resulted in .the firs', half.
