APPRECIATED IN BRITAINMILLION MEN IN FRANCE. A. and N.Z. LONDON, July 4. All newspapers have leading articles and long special articles on Independence Day. They also publish many messages from public men lauding the BritishAmerican alliance and the help that the United States already has given, including an army of 160,000 officers and 2,000,000 men, of whom over a million arc in Franco. AUSTRALIAN REFERENCES. LIKELY DECIDING FACTOR. SYDNEY. July 5. Wider public interest than usual was manifested in the Independence Day celebrations in the various capitals. The speeches were marked by appreciation of America's increasing intervention in the war and the likelihood of it proving the deciding factor.
