THE LATE LORD RHONDDA
GREAT PUBLIC SERVICES. A. and N.Z. LONDON. July I. The public services of the late Lord Rhondda, Minister in Charge of the Department of Food Control, are the subject of laudatory articles in the newspapers. They recall the fact that he was a member of the House of Commons at the age of 22, yet was never offered office, or even asked to serve on any committee. His political talents were only discovered after the outbreak of the war.
