CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL.
«»- OFFICIAL OPENING TO-DAY. Tire official opening of the Princess Mary Hospital for Children will be performed by Tier Excellency the Countess < f Liverpool this afternoon at three o'clock. The Minister in charge of Hospitals, the Hon. (i. \V. Russell, will deliver an address at the ceremony, and speeches will also be made by the chairman of the Hospital Hoard, Mr. W. Wallace, and the Mayor, Mr. J. H. Gunson. Members of the various city and suburban local bodies have been invited to attend the ceremony, and a large gathering is expected. The contract for the build : ne. which is the largest children's hospital in the Dominion, was made in June. 1916, the contract price being £18.796. Several additions have been made to the original design, and the structure as it stands has cost approximately £21.000.
