MAN COMMITTED TOR TRIAL. 1 [DT TELEGRAPH.—NIESS ASSOCIATION.] I CHRISTCHURCH, Friday. [ The hearing of the of murder I made against James Charles Thompson ' was resumed to-day. Evidence showed that some men had a few words in the street, and that blows were then struck. • One man, Thomas Edward Bruce, was knocked down, and, hitting his head on ■ the pavement, died from his injuries. | Thompson reserved his defence, and was I committed to the Supreme Court for trial. I He war admitted to bail.
