THE RUGBY GAME. GRAMMAR, 19, BEATS TE AUTE, 0. The secondary school match, Grammar School v. Te Aute College, was played on Saturday at Eden Park, the local team securing an easy win by 19 points to 0. There was an attendance of about 60C0. Maritime secured from a scrum near Ponsonby's twenty-five, and working play to the line, Davidson scored the first try for Maritime. Ponsonby were not long in taking the initiative. and Matthews scored for the blue and blacks. Madd/son added the goal points. On the change round Maritime commenced two men short, Sheehan having been ordered off for having struck Matthews. Lunn. the halfback. had been injured in the eye. Matches in the Auckland Football Association's championship competition were continued on Saturday. Wild Rose A beat Devonport Presbyterians. North Shore beat Brotherhood, and Wild Rose B beat Y.M.C.A. NORTH SHORE V. BROTHERHOOD. North Sh<ye kicked off and carried play into Brotherhood territory.
