DISABLED AUSTRALIANS.

A DECISION REGRETTED.

LONDON. June 10. Surgeon-General Fetherfton has ordered limbless Australians to le shipped to Australia without artificial limbs. Hundreds are leaving shortly.

Surgeon-General Fetheiston considers that limbs better and cheaper can be manufactured in Australia, but the authorities here believe that Australian factories are too far away to keep in touch with the constant improvements in this new scientific industry, which is based on enormous experience. The men regret the decision, and regard it as a breach of faith. They hoped to return in a presentable condition. They point out that the other Dominions permit disabled men to remain in England until properly trained to earn a livelihood. Colonel Murdoch states that the policy will mean the closing of Southall, where the patients are doing splendidly, learning various trades.
