JAPANESE ASSISTANCE.
MESOPOTAMIA AND PALESTINE.
LONDON. June 9. The London Evening Standard says that the view held in military and diplomatic circles is that the allies will have Japanese assistance in Mesopotamia and Palestine shortly, instead of intervention in Siberia. It is suggested that an effort to rout the Turks and Bulgarians would immediately release Roumania, would limit. German aggression in Russia, and give the allies time to assist Russia directly.
