TE AWAMUTU BAND.
The annual meeting of the Te Awamutu Municipal Band was held on Monday. The report and balance-sheet disclosed a satisfactory position. The purchase of new instruments had been almost completed during the past -three years, the debt being reduced from £345 2s to £40, with a balance of cash now in hand almost enabling this liability to be met. Officers elected were —President, Mr. M. C. Lawson ; patron, Mr. W. P. Stewart; bandmaster, Mr. J. T. North; secretary, Mr. A. G. Warburton.
