CAUGHT LEAVING A SHOP.
INCIDENT AT HAMILTON. [BY TELEGRAPH. OWN CORRESPONDENT.] HAMILTON, Wednesday. A passer-bt was attracted by noise over the door in Rohmann's confectioners in Main Street last night. Investigations showed a man about half-way through the fanlight over the door, and when he dropped down he was secured. The intruder, who proved to be a territorial named Charles Downing, and who was in uniform, was handed to the police. He was brought before the Court to-day, and remanded to appear on May 23.
