ENDEAVOURING TO ESCAPE.
RESERVIST ARRESTED ON SHIP.

GREYMOUTH. Wednesday. A touno man named Edward Conwav, under orders to proceed to camp this month, and a recent arrival from the North Island, was arrested aboard a boat at Greymouth last night. He was found behind the bunker bulkhead under a coil of rope, by the police, a few hours prior to the vessel's departure. He came before the Court to-day, and was remanded until Monday to allow the police to complete inquiries.
