MINISTERS' MOVEMENTS.

The Hon. T. M. Wilford, Miniate* for - Marine and Justice, accompanied by ha ■-''£§; private secretary, Mr. E. N. G. Poalton, \~ arrived in Auckland yesterday morning, and is staying,at the Grand Hotel. Theprincipal object of the Minister's visit is . to preside over the sitting of the commis- ■'_ sion appointed to inquire into metiers connected -with accidents on the ■waterfront. "' .- Yesterday morning Mr. Wilford had a '' <& conference-with the Mayor relative to Red ; ; * Cross work, and was engaged daring the. remainder of the' day in arranging; ' - J the preliminary details connected with -• y the commission and in transacting other Departmental business. Mr.' ' Wilford does not expect to have any ■fi time available to receive deputations our- 'V ing his present visit. He probably will return to Wellington at the end of the week. ■ '. } : ~M*S; The Minister for Land* visited Waipuand ' Maungaturoto yesterday, and to-day will '< meet deputations at Waiwera, Warkworih, i j ; and Karwaka.
