NEW PLYMOUTH. Tuesday. The criminal sessions of the Supremo Court -were continued before the Chief Justice, Sir Robert Stout. Noho Tewhiti was found guilty of using indecent language, and with making an aggravated assault at Rahotu on Constable O'Neill, and of a common assault on Constable O'Neill. The accused was acquitted on a charge of committing a grossly indecentact. Mr. Fitzherbert gave notice of his intention to move for a new trial, on the ground that the Judge's charge to the Grand Jury has assumed the guilt of the prisoner, and that the summing-up presented to the jury the case for the Crown only.
