She is to load coal at Whangarei for Kaipara, from which port she goes to Lyttelton.. The Tarawera arrived from Lyttelton yesterday afternoon, and berthed at the Central Wharf. The Government steamer Hinemoa arrived trom the East Coast • lighthouses yesterday morning. Captain Bollons reports that the Hinemoa left Wellington on Tuesday last, and met with fine weather on the coast, which enabled her to work all the lighthouses on the way. At Portland Island she landed Mr. W. A. Fraser. lighthouse expert, who will instal an incandescent light and a revolving cowl; to give better ventilation. After taking in stores here the Hinemoa is to sail for the Gulf and Northern lighthouses at 6 a.m. to-morrow. At Tiri she will replace the Shearer Rock buoy with ft much larger one. NORTHERN CO.'S STEAMERS. The Waipu is to be laid up on Monday for her annual overhaul. She will be out of commission for a. week, her place in the M-ereury Bay trade being taken by the Daphne. The Waiotahi will take the Daohne's run +o Hpuhora, and the Kawau will take the Waiotahi's run to Mangapai. THE KOROMIKO. The Koromiko. en route from Timaru to Auckland, passed East Cape at 7 a.m. yes- ; terday. She is due at an earTy hour to-day, J and is to berth at the Queen's Wharf.
