He behaved with conspicupus bravery after the Aurora had been blown from her moorings off the Ross Barrier, aad v it was chiefly owing to his efforts that the men left -behind were saved. Ernest Wild: was a brother of Prank Wild. -Shackleton's;'-. second-in-command. Corporal H. W. Michael. M.M.. London 4; Regiment, has been wounded. " He comes 1 '; from Auckland. .if* First-class Air-Mechanic P. C. Waud, R.F.C.. is posted as believed drowned He ' came from Auckland. In 1917, Mr. Waud was serving in France as a wireless operator . attached to the R.G.A. and C.F.A.. and ■ with the latter he was wounded and sent to England. In October he was posted to a mihtarjr school for aeronautics, and was v awaiting instructions at Farnborough At that time he was considered unfit for over-;* seas duty, and anticipated remaining ■ in England on duty. He is believed to have been drowned at the end. of December.'
