EMPIRE AND ALLIES FIRST. t CONVENTIONS DENOUNCED. (Received 8.30 p.m.) Router. LONDON, May 13. In the House of Commons Mr. Bonar Law stated that in view of the probable shortage of raw materials after* the war, and the necessity for providing for the requirements of the Empire and the allies, the Government intended to follow the example of the French Government and denounce all commercial conventions, while continuing a general clause regarding most favoured nation treatment.
