CONSERVATION OF TONNAGE
EXPORTS UNDER LICENSE. A. and N.Z. WASHINGTON. May 13.
The War Trade Board lias arranged an international commercial agreement between the United States, Britain, France, Belgium, and Italy, finder which exports will only be permitted under license. The purpose is to conserve material, labour, and tonnage, and to eliminate all shipments not essential to the prosecution of the war. The new agreement does not affect shipments from British ports to the colonies.
