The revenue was estimated at £1550. ■ - : r : ,'-.*'•:'■ — .r' : In reply to a letter from the Ratepayers'*' Association concerning the. railway> service, improved street lighting, the maternity nurse and the balance-sheet, the board said that the matters- were being attended* to or had been dealt. with. Until .dealt:; With by the audit- inspector, the. balance-sheet could not ,be published,, but information regarding it' 4 .' could be received from the "clerk. - It was decided 'to write to the City Council complaining of the manner .in which repairs - were effected by. the city waterworks depart- - * ment after seeing to their mains, A rate of lid in the £ was. struck for the ensuing year. •"'■.•••-*.- A summary of the board's operations during the «>ight years of its existence was submitted by the clerk.
