RAIDING OF HOUSES.
CHANGE IN METHODS URGED. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WELLINGTON, Sunday. A special meeting of the Teachers' Association, in support of the action of other women's societies, has passed the following resolution :—" That in cases of raids on suspected houses of ill-fame no names bo published before conviction, and that after conviction the names of the men, as well' as of the w:>aien, implicated, be pub- - lished." The meeting expressed sympathy > with Miss Eileen Pringle, a teacher at ■ Brooklyn school, who was arrested in theraid on No. 48, Upland Road, Kelburn, = ; ; but against whom the magistrate said there was absolutely no evidence. The* ' ~ motion referred to the ordeal through.,;'" which Miss Pringle was passing, and "on •'-, 1 account of her high character, and with ' .' a full knowledge of the circumstances,- ; -p.L" exonerated her from all blame in the reck- '&•_ .-:" less and cruel charges made against- her."
