ENTERTAINMENTS.

OPERA HOUSE. The popular Walter Johnson Players are scoring an undoubted success in "The Parisian Models," a happy medley of music, song and jest, which is presented this week at the Opera House. It is a merry piece in two acts, setting forth the experiences of two gay youths, who go to Paris in search of wives. " Tho Parisian Models," which is well staged, has the additional recommendation of having more plot than several of its predecessors. ORGAN RECITAL. An attractive programme has been arranged for the organ recital in tho Town Hail on Saturday evening. Tho city organist, Mr. Maughan Barnctt, will play movements from Vierne's fine "symphony, No. 2." DriffilPs " Andantino " in five-four time, and the English folksong, "Strawberry Fair." Handel's " Honour and Arms " will bo sung by Mr. J. Wallace Atkinson. TIVOLI THEATRE. Marguerite Clark, claimed by some to rival the famous Mary Pickford, may bo seen at the Tivoli 'theatre in her latest Paramount success, "The Amazons." This is a pictorial adaptation of Sir Arthur Wing Pinero's successful comedy of the same name. '1 he story concerns the pranks of three girls, whoso mother decides to bring them up as boys. Rarely has a scenario demanded such a variety of expensive settings as in " The Amazons." There is a wig shop, an English county house, with its attendant stables and swimming pools, wonderful sunken garden, and terraces, an interior and exterior of a theatre, a bar. room scene, and a completely equipped gymnasium. There is a good supporting programme. NATIONAL THEATRE. The picture version of Dickens' immortal' story, A Tolo of Two Cities," is attracting large audiences to the National Theatre. The, classic talo has been adopted with great regard to detail. Tho interior j of the La Force Prison, the homo of so | many ill-fated aristocrats, is most graphic- j ally shown. Even such gruesome details as the guillotine itself have not been ex-' eluded. The cast is a very capable one. I William Earnum in tho two roles of : Charles Darnuy and Sydney Carton, has i a difficult task, but he plays with distuic-1 tion. The simultaneous appearance of two characters, both acted by the same man, is an admirable example of the advanced nature of the art of the cinomatographer. EVERYBODY'S THEATRE. The Triangle play, " The Flames of Chance," is attracting large audiences to Everybody's Theatre. Margery Wilson, the actress who appeared in conjunction; with Enid Bennett in "The Mother! Instinct," acts the chief part with considerable charm. " A Dogcatchcr's Love-" a very ludicrous Mack Sonnett comedy, is on tho same programme. On Saturday the latest Charlie Chaplin production, entitled " The Adventurer," will bo the leading item.

AKZAC DAY FILM. "The Departure of, the Main Body," which is to bo shown at tho Princess Theatre to-day, is a topical film, which should make a strong appeal at this moment. The picture, which 's clear in every detail, shows the Main Body of the New Zealanders in camp, the final parade at Epsom, and the march down Queen Street to the transports. OTHER ENTERTAINMENTS. " Polly of the Circus" is the picture at the Strand Theatre. Mae Marsh may be seen as the heroine of " Polly of the Circua," shown at the Lyric Theatre. 1 "Blue Jeans" is at the Princess Theatre.
