TAKAPUNA AFFAIRS.
VARIOUS BOROUGH WORKS. The Takapuna Borough Council rust last night, the Mayor, Mr. V.'. Blorafield, presiding. Repairs to the roadway in Auburn Street, Minnehaha Avenue, and Alma Road, to the footpaths in Auburn Street and Killarney and Barry Pointy Roads, *nd to the approach to Bayswater Wharf were authorised.^ An offer from tje Waitemata County Council to pay halt the con of urgent repair:, to the Last toast Road on the boundary between the borough and the county was referred to the engineer w.th power to act. An application for a »heiler shed at tne Saltburn Road tram stop <v»s made by Mrs. K. Brett, who stated that the residents concoined had given £15 toward* the cost. It was estimated that £15 *,\.- ...bent one-third o! the total cost, and the council resolved to ccntrihite one-third ! the Takspuna Tram Company would <>o tin.- same Mr. J. Catilfield was appointed to US position of timekeeper, noxious weeds inspector, and dog reg.strnr to '.he borougn.
