AMERICAN SNIP MISSING.

COLLIER LONG OVERDUE. 233 LIVES INVOLVED. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 8.20 p.m.) WASHINGTON, April 14. It is announced that the naval collier Cyclops is believed to have- been lost with 233 crew and passengers. The vessel is a month overdue. She left the West Indies on March 3, and there has been no trace of her since. The collier carried 15 officers, 221 crew, and 57 passenders, and also a cargo of manganeso from Brazil. The American Naval Department states it is imablo to account for the disappearance of the vessel. All attempts to reach her by wireless have failed. Though it is believed gho is lost the search continues.
