■©■ RISING SUN. Thb Rising- Sun mine at Owharoa was closed down for the installation it rock-drilling machinery last October. This course was deemed ein?edient owing to the hard nature of the qui.rts being mined and the increased cost of winning it. Owing to war conditions, and the imponsibility of obtaining supplies, ■ the installation of the necessary machinery ] has taken much longer than anticipated. | These have, however, been secured and installed an! a start has been madn to work , the ore. The mine manager reporta that the drills are working very satisfactorily. Dur- [ ing the tine the mill has been closed many necessary alterations and additions have been made to the battery plant to make the treatment right up to date. The directors propose visiting tho mine next Saturday.
