ATLANTIC LINER SUNK.
..VICTIM OF TORPEDO. ' a. and N.Z. NEW YORK, April 11. The Atlantic Transport liner Minnetonka has been torpedoed and sunk by a German submarine.
The Minnetonka was a steel twin-screw fcteamer of 13,623 tons gross, owned by the (Atlantic Transport Company. She was built in 1902 by Messrs. Harland and Wolff, Ltd., of Belfast. Her dimensions were, length 600 ft, beam 65ft, depth 39ft. With her sister ship tho Minnewaska, the Minnetopka was a unit of the great fleet pf transports employed in the Gallipoli landing and the subsequent operations.
