FRENCH REPULSE ENEMY RAIDS AT SEVERAL POINTS.
HOSTILE TRENCHES ENTERED ON TWO SECTORS.
Australian and N.Z. and Reuter. (Reed. 8 p.m.). LONDON, Mar. 10. A French communique reports: We repulsed raids south of Betheny, near Rheims, on the left bank of the Mouse, and in the Vosges. Our detachments penetrated the enemy lines east of Auberive, 17 miles east of Rheims, and in the region of Badonvillers, on the Lorraine border, and destroyed several works. There has been .. reciprocal artillery activity at Bandisapt and Violu. Our aeroplanes E dropped 14 tons of bombs on enemy works behind the lines. fc." A German official wireless message states: We repulsed strong E reconnoitring thrusts south of Monchy le Preux, east of Arras. Strong I French detachments penetrated our foremost trenches between Ancre- .' wilier and Badonvillers. Counter-thrusts drove them out.
