PENDING BY-ELECTIONS.
THE SOUTHERN MAORI SEAT. [BY TELEGRAPH. association.] WELLINGTON, Thursday. In a statement to-day Sir Joseph 'Ward announced that Mr. Henare Parata was tho National Government candidate approved by the two leaders, Mr. Massey and himself, for the Southern Maori seat. The election takes place on Thursday.
