NO APPARENT IMPROVEMENT. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 1.30 a.m.) BRISBANE, • Jan. 24. News from. the flooded area ie very scrappy. There appears to be no improvement in the situation. All communication is interrupted. The fate of the town of Mackay is still unknown.
