Albert; aged 36 years. COOKE.—On October 6, died of wounds in France, William James, the dearly' beloved eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. W. M, Cocke, 5, Wauganui Avenue, Heme Bay; aged 28 years. He died for his King and country. ELLIOTT.—On October G, 1917. died of wounds in France, Private John Caldwell McXeish Elliott, 21st Reinforcements, beloved oldest son of G. W. Elliott, Waerenga; aged 23 years. Deeply mourned. FORDE —On October 3, killed in action in France, Norman Arthur, dearly-beloved son of Mr. and Mrs. F. H. Fordo, of St. Hcliera Bay. MASON".—On October 7, 1917. died of wounds at 41th Clearing Station. Franco, Private Ernest Edward Mason. 24th Reinforcements, dearly-beloved third son of Ed ward and Alice Mason, of To Kauwhata, late of North Finchley, London W.; aged 21 years.
