A. and N.Z. PARIS. Oct. 15. Lieutenant Fonck, a comrade of Lieutenant Guynemer, who was killed after he had brought down over 50 enemy aeroplanes, avenged the latter's death on September 30, when he shot down Wissman, the German who brought down Lieutenant Guynemer's machine. Lieutenant- Fonck escaped the Germans' first rush by clever manoeuvring, got behind them, and shot Wissman in. the head. The latter fell, and his observer was also killed. I
