In explaining tjie Land .Caws Amendment, j Bill, which was introduced in the House j of Representatives this evening, the Prime Minister said that so far as he conld tell there was nothing controversial in the Bill. It was a purely Departmental measure. The moat important clause in it dealt with a difficulty that had cropped tip in the Taranald district.
