WAR RELIEF ORGANISATION.

NORTH KAB'ARA SOCIETY.

[by telegraph.— special correspondent.]

WELLINGTON, Saturday. The proposal. to form a North Kaipnra Patriotic Society lias been the fubiect of communication betwen Mr. J. A. Young, M.P., and the Minister of Internal Affairs. Inquiries were made as to the. necessity for another society being incorporated in the North Kaipara district, as that district has been under the supervision' of the Auckland Provincial War Relief Association. Mr. Gallie, on behalf of the North Kaipara Committee, contends that relief in the district is not satisfactorily administered by the Provincial Association. The Auckland Provincial Association, on the other hand, desires that the people of Matakohe shouM form a sub-committee of the Dargaville branch of the association. The Minister has decided to grant approval of -he new society under section 40 of the War Legislation Amendment Act. This will enable the society to be properly formed and to . collect funds. The Minister says it is not necessary that the committee should be incorporated under the War Funds Act.
