SILVER ILLEGAL TENDER.
AN ITALIAN DECREE. (Received 11.30 p.m.) Times. LONDON. Oct. 7. In order to prevent the hoarding of silver coins, due to the . increased ( value of silver, the Italian Government has passed a decree making silver illegal tender after December 31. In the meantime silver may be changed into ' paper money.
