AUCKLAND WEEKLY NEWS.

TO-DAY'S EDITION PRICE SIXPENCE. NEW ZEALANDERS IN FRANCE LIFE IN THE FIRING ZONE. INTERESTING GLIMPSES. STRIKING OFFICIAL PHOTOGRAPHS WELLINGTON V. AUCKLAND. RUGBY FOOTBALL MATCH. NEW ZEALAND BEAUTY SPOTS MISCELLANEOUS SUBJECTS. Interesting glimpses of the life of the New Zealanders in the war zone of France are reproduced from a fine set of official photographs published in to-day's issue of the Auckland Weekly News. Our soldiers are seen in the front line trenches, and engaged in practical training near the firing area. As a matter of fact a more comprehensive pictorial representation of the doings of the men in France probably has not been .previously recorded, and the series of views will therefore attract considerable notice throughout this Dominion. Among local events recorded by the camera is a splendid collection of snapshots of the Rugby football match between Wellington and Auckland representatives last Saturday, which serves to recall the old-time football rivalry which existed between the two provinces. Belgian and Servian Day at Wanganui is pictorially represented in an interesting way, and so is the successful gala recently held at Motueka in aid of the Y.M.C.A. funds. Several beautiful New Zealand scenes lend a charm to the paper, and a variety of other subjects are dealt with. The Roll of Honour this week contains over 100 portraits of New Zealand's heroes who have suffered in the great war.
